What is A Pocket Door Timber Jamb Lining Kit?
While looking through pocket doors, you’ve probably come across the term “Pocket Door Lining Kit” or “Timber Jamb Lining Kit”.
The Jamb Kit is essentially a timber lining kit fitted after the Pocket Door to cover the top of the door, runner etc. and line the verticals to the pocket to give a clean, professional finish. The recessed door post means that the door will slide into the recess and so you will not see a chink of light at the edge of the door when it is shut.
Do I Need A Jamb Lining Kit?
That depends entirely on the brand of pocket door kit you end up choosing for your project. Some of the brands we offer in our shop, such as Rocket Door Frames, JB Kind and Scrigno do require a Jamb Lining Kit to be purchased separately.
However, some of the other brands we offer, namely Coburn and Eclisse, offer pocket door kits that have specific jamb lining kits included with your pocket door kit.
